Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada Training Courses

All courses are taught by accredited Heart & Stroke foundation instructors.
All certifications are valid and issued directly by the Heart & Stroke foundation. (Certifications are recognized in Canada and the US).

Basic Life Support (BLS CPR - HCP)

Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. It is designed for healthcare providers and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings, and teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills (including CPR, AED, bag-valve devises and choking relief) for application in pre-hospital and in-facility settings.

Certification: Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS Certificate valid for 1 year.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive-care and critical-care units.

Certification: Heart & Stroke Foundation ACLS Certificate valid for 2 years.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support is designed for healthcare professionals who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies, this includes the diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for the prevention, assessment and treatment of respiratory and cardiac arrest in both infants and children.

Certification: Heart & Stroke Foundation PALS Certificate valid for 2 years.
